HAND CRAFTED - What sets Still-Light prints apart from other fine art photography?

Well, we think it’s not just in capturing a great moment on the camera, it’s also about how we thoughtfully and

painstakingly craft every single image we offer - right through to packing and shipping.  Each print is hand-crafted –

no photo labs or big printing companies do our work for us – so every print originates from our studio and is made just

for you. 

It’s also our unique line of fine art papers imported from around the world, along with hand-cut mattes and custom

creations specific to YOUR order. One size doesn’t fit all – and we know it!.  That’s why we can honestly say that

every print is an original, hand-crafted creation made just for you.

A LITTLE GICLEE’ ON THE SIDE - You may have heard the term “Giclee’” – but what does that really mean?  And,

why are Giclee’ prints different from other ink jet or dye sublimation prints?

The term GICLEE’ (pronounced “zee-clay”) is a French word, meaning to spray or spurt.  However, today’s Giclee’

printers are technological works of wonder.  Their ability for accurate colour reproduction is unparalleled, as is their

ability to produce light-fast colours on a variety of acid-free, museum-quality paper surfaces, including fine art

canvas.  Each Still-Light original print is certainly NOT just your ordinary print, but is a true work of art, created to last

a lifetime…and beyond.

LIMITED EDITION - What is meant by “Limited Edition”?

Unless otherwise noted, all Still-Light original fine art prints are offered as “limited editions”.  This means we will only

create 25 hand-crafted and numbered prints of a given image, thereby making each image more exclusive.  Each

“limited edition” print comes with a Certificate of Authentication, signed and numbered by the Artist so that your

investment can actually increase in value over time.

Most artists want nothing more than to communicate a feeling and an emotional response in those who see their

work.  For us at Still-Light, it is that emotional bond which means such a lot.  Our reward comes from the fact that
